I would like to ask something, do you guys know if there is an automated procedure to combine multiple textures meshes into one ?
I have made many using this procedure:
One texture file (UV Map) for each part of the model....
But then some people needed my models for a modification, and they need the texture map, to be in a single file ALL the textures of the model, i UVMapped the whole model, but it seems hard to do it by hand, match each aspect of the texture to the new UVMap...it will take ages !

VFX protest at Oscars: images from the picket line
Jeff Heusser is on hand at the VFX protest outside the Oscars for fxguide.
The protest is not a strike, “it is an effort to raise awareness,” explained VFX supervisor Scott Squires speaking to fxguide as he marched moments ago.
Here is a phone interview done minutes ago, from the VFX / Oscar protest march. Mike Seymour speaks to Jeff Heusser at the march and he is joined by Scott Squires. (Sorry for the audio quality but it was recorded as they walked).
Supporting events are being reported to be happening in Canada, New Zealand and New York.

Anyone know some good, simple 3D tutorials?
I am taking videogame design in school but I'm thinking I would rather get into modeling 3D houses and furniture for things like real estate or interior decorating or something similar. I'm not all that good at 3D modeling (I especially suck at doing characters. My strong point is Flash but I don't want to do just Flash games) but I do want to improve my skills. I do know Maya basics like vertices and unwrapping and stuff like that and basic texturing and I know a little bit about mental ray and light baking. Are there some good, relatively simple (and free) house and furniture tutorials? Most of the tutorials I've seen charge you to download
